 Geometry Reflection - Model

Ava Greaves

My strengths

My strengths in geometry are naming 3D shapes, enlarging shapes and reflection. These are my strengths because I have been doing a lot of  mathletics.

Goals

My goal is to work on maps. There are 8 math questions and I got 3 wrong.I also need to work on turns like quarter turns and half turns.I also am providing impact in identifying different parts of a triangle like scalene isosceles so that is kind of a goal. one of my goals that I knew for sure I needed to work on was symmetry. I am definitely not very good at symmetry and I don't think we did a workshop on symmetry and if we did I was probably in mrs.Toons group then.

What helped me

Mathletics was a big help for me it helped me with getting better at things that were not even in the test but related to it in certain ways.I also thought the direction workshops were very helpful because that is one of my goals

Preparing

I prepared for my test by doing mathletics every night I also chose the workshops that I needed to improve in. for example maps direction and turns.I did not go to the workshops I was strong at like enlarging and naming 3d shapes 2d shapes reflection and edges faces and vertices. I also watched the geometry videos on the website to help me improve.

What the teachers did well in, and what they need to work on

The teachers did well in the mathletics task that they gave us but the workshops could of been more challenging

Conclusion

Geometry is my favourite subject in maths and I was already pretty strong at it so it could of been more challenging but it was good to refresh my memory .And I learnt things I never knew about before so in the end it was worth it.
